The night before the opening of Recession! (The Musical). Calm has mostly set in. There’s something dangerously comforting about performing a piece with a script in front of you. If you loose your place you look like a total idiot. I’ll be really curious to see what there laughs fall tomorrow. We’ve already got an almost completely full house. Apparently people really like this late night thing. Thank god. It’s comforting to know that not all the world is shutting down when the sun sets. Us night owls need something to do.
On a side note, I’m still trying to figure out a way we can do this sort of late night radio play/sketch comedy thing on a more regular basis without killing ourselves. There seems to be a real desire for it, and its something we enjoy (and I think are pretty good at).
Dammit, we all need salaries! Put us on a payroll, we’ll all quit our day jobs and make art 24/7.
I’ll figure that out later. All I know for now is the show tomorrow is going to be a sold out riot. And that’s the important thing.
