Possible Worlds
by John Mighton
Directed by Peter Sampieri**
Featuring Kate Kohler Amory and Alexander Platt*
November 18-21, 2010
95 Empire Street, Home of Perishable Theatre, Providence RI
Possible Worlds is the story of George Barber, a brilliant risk analyst who experiences every life he could possibly have lived. He shifts constantly between parallel lives in different realities. But in every one, George is in love with the same woman. Searing, honest and tender, the play asks questions of imagination and memory: How much of our life is remembered, how much is constructed – and does it matter in the end?
Director Peter Sampieri called the play “part science fiction, part murder mystery, part intriguing math puzzle, and an all-encompassing love story,” and noted that Possible Worlds is that rare play that truly offers something for everyone.

The Father, the Son and the Holy Go.Go
New Work by George Brant, Alexander Platt and Dave Rabinow
January 21 – February 7, 2010
95 Empire St, Home of Perishable Theatre, Providence RI
The writing challenge the 2010 Go.Go plays was for each playwright to create a play using elements of the Catholic Sacraments, and to set the plays in a shared location. The playwrights each drew two of the seven Sacraments out of a hat, leaving one as a wild card; from another hat, they drew the location. The result: three plays, set in a remote cabin, using Baptism, Confirmation, Communion, Holy Orders, Matrimony, Reconciliation, and the Annointing of the Sick as their jumping off point.
