The Providence Journal praised Elemental’s “engaging,” “well-crafted” plays, and the Phoenix called it “as absorbing as a campfire tale.”

Opening Night

Tonight is opening night for Amadeus! We’ve had a great run of previews, and we are looking forward to a warm house tonight.

One more week

One week from tonight we’ll be performing in front of our first preview audience! Last night the musicians came to rehearsal, and their sounds transported us beyond the walls of the space. It’s so great to have them with us, and reminded me of why Mozart’s music sends Salieri into a tailspin, equal parts ecstasy and pain.

Open Rehearsals for The Amadeus Project?

Max and D’Arcy brought up the idea of having open rehearsals during the rehearsal process for Amadeus. My first response was “Yeah, sure, why not?”

Recession! (The Musical) – Opening Night

Last night we were able to be in Perishable Theatre for a tech run, and the cast expanded visibly in the space. It was amazing to see their performances grow in size, to hear the music fill the room, and to see them dashing madly to find foley props in time for their cues.

The night before opening

The night before the opening of Recession! (The Musical). Calm has mostly set in. There’s something dangerously comforting about performing a piece with a script in front of you.
